Marcus King is currently my favorite musician and is soon to be a star. I was inspired to do this painting after listening to their first album “Soul Insight”. The painting was created in my studio from a photo taken by my photographer friend at Mother Shutter. I liked how the photo captured a moment where Marcus is closing his eyes and digging deep into his soul. What I added was the energy that came out of that soul insight, if you will.
