Warren Haynes

Warren Haynes is one of my favorite guitar players of today. His band Govt’ Mule is amazing. He is a former Allman Brothers Band member, and former member of the Dead, enough said. I love the story behind this painting. At the time I was a freelance artist and one of my clients, and good friends, were the Marcus King Band. The band was starting to really take off and was able to catch the ear of Warren, who took them under his wing. The band had just signed on with the same management team as Warren. He invited them to open up for Govt’ Mule at the Peace Center in Greenville, SC. So we, as a team, wanted to give Warren a gift to show him our appreciation for helping the band out. Well… What do you give Warren Haynes as a gift? So, I offered to do this painting and we all signed it on the back “from the Marcus King Band Family”. Very special to me, not because Warren owns a painting of mine which is kinda cool, but because I would do anything for Marcus and the band. I love those guys and was glad I could help them out in those early days.
